Paris

Here we are in Paris for a couple of days till our first river cruise starts. Our luck was with us when we started off on Monday – there was no fog at the airport and our QANTAS flight to Sydney was not cancelled. Amazing eh! Anyway, we managed to survive untold hours in the air making four flights one after the other: Canberra-Sydney; Sydney-Singapore; Singapore-Zurich then Zurich-Paris. Flying business class certainly made it bearable as we were able to sleep between Singapore and Zurich. Also, they stuffed us with food (and we’re not complaining) J.

We have a couple of days before our cruise to the south of France begins so we decided to take a hop-on-hop off bus tour to reacquaint ourselves with the city. We saw all the usual attractions again, like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and so on, and enjoyed the ride. Mind you, we had forgotten how traveling the streets of Paris means taking your life in your hands. How do so many cars, trucks and motor bikes barge their way through intersections without more crashes?

Getting ready

Viva la France and viva la Thailand! On Monday 28 May we set off on our holiday to France to enjoy the delights of Paris and cruise the rivers of France from Paris to Nice and Paris to Normandy. Then it's off to Thailand and a wonderful time with Jen, Pete, Sophie and Lachie. Wish us bon voyage and follow our adventures right here!
